Sustainability –
A roadmap to a better world
Gislen Software wants to be a sustainable company and an excellent corporate citizen in the holistic meaning of the word. Our clients, employees, suppliers and other stakeholders should expect that we are responsible in any aspect of our work. For Gislenites, it should also mean that they can help us improve and develop. For our clients, it means that we create sustainable, responsible solutions.
Sustainability means we want to create lasting value for our employees, clients, and the world.
Our approach to sustainability includes ethics, transparency, quality, equality, supporting the less fortunate, and caring for the environment and society.
Responsibility is part of how we do business
We take a practical approach to life and business in India, with a strong focus on our local community.
We aim to make a positive contribution to society. We make financial contributions, particularly to education, using 10% of our profit. We have followed this practice for many years, well before it became a legal requirement for large companies under the Companies Act of India.
We also use renewable energy sources to reduce our environmental footprint and pay close attention to community and environmental issues.
Our four commitments

Our carbon-negative commitment
We prioritize reducing emissions and offsetting any remaining impact. Our investments include solar power, lithium battery storage, and offsetting three times our annual carbon emissions through UN-certified renewable energy projects.
3 x Offsetting
Three times our annual emissions

United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Agenda 2030 is an action plan for sustainable development initiated and passed by the United Nations General Assembly. Gislen Software has the ambition to use these goals as a base for our sustainability initiatives. In particular, some of them are very relevant to us:
