Business Continuity & Service Disruption Updates

Gislen Software has taken measures to ensure that we can continue to provide the same service to our clients even during unprecedented times. We learned how to handle business continuity during earlier incidents, such as the flooding in 2015 and cyclone Vardah in 2016. In 2013 we invested in solar panels and battery backup. This helped us to handle these earlier incidents well. The flooding in 2015 took us by surprise, but we managed to handle the situation well by improvising. Since then, we have learned more. Our business continuity plan worked well even during the COVID19 pandemic. We have continuously upgraded our infrastructure and upskilled ourselves to ensure redundancy for all critical functions to mitigate any high impact during crises and natural disasters like cyclones and floodings. We now have the following:

  • Multiple internet service providers,
  • Redundant power supply (solar panels/lithium-ion batteries/UPS/Power from Grid),
  • Multiple air conditioners in our server room are connected to different power supplies.
  • We have automatic monitoring systems,
  • Most of our systems can be controlled and maintained remotely.
  • We tuned our processes and infrastructure during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Without delays, we could start working from home and connect to our infrastructure through VPN without interruptions.

At Gislen Software, we strive for continuous improvement in all areas to ensure that our customers can rest assured that we will add value to their business as usual.
