Our approach
Reduce first. Offset second.
Our approach begins with reducing emissions across our own operations. We continually improve energy efficiency, generate renewable electricity through our rooftop solar installation, and make conscious decisions around travel, procurement and day-to-day operations.
For emissions that cannot yet be eliminated, we purchase verified carbon offsets through the United Nations Climate Neutral Now initiative, allowing us to offset three times our annual carbon footprint.

We generate renewable electricity through our rooftop solar installation. During the 2024/25 accounting year, our solar installation generated 177,110 kWh, helping reduce our dependence on grid electricity. We also use lithium battery storage as part of our renewable energy approach.

Being Carbon Negative means that we remove or offset more carbon than we emit. In 2024/25, Gislen Software measured 203.7 tonnes of CO2 emissions and purchased offsets equivalent to 620 tonnes of CO2, which is three times our annual emissions.
